Well hey gang

I want to make a couple of post just so I can upload some photos. I have a lot of pictures that I have taken in the past year so for the next few weeks I'll try to upload some.

Well I will start with the most recent ones. Clint and I went "tent camping" just the two of us with Molly this past weekend. I LOVE it. Spending time with just my husband talking and just being "US". Of course I had to take Miss Molly (our toy Party Poodle) because we didn't get a dog sitter. She's sweet and good anyways so it wasn't a problem. I also am posting a couple of Halloween pics. of the kids Kayle went as the Mad Hatter, Brit was Dorothy and then Trev decided NOT to dress up--- which I am okay with. :) He's like his father! :)

This is my future husband.... Clint Swan. I would love to spend sometime talking about him but I've got much to do. Mom told me to post a picture on my blog so here is a couple. Hope you guys will email me or comment or email me "words of wisdom" I want to start a scrapbook of "Our lives together" so.... 6. I have 3 brothers which I love... use to fight with like cats & dogs but completely amazed at the men they have become. Even though I've never told them that!

5. I don't like storms... rain... thunder... lightning OH MY!

4. I secretly wished that I was younger & skinny so I could be a "motorcycle stunter" yep those crazy people who stand up on the motorcycle going about 100mph.

3. I LOVE motorcycles (any kind) but scared to death of them at the same time.

1. That my parents got a divorce 2 years ago, after being married almost 30 years. I was devastated but now realized that I learned more from them the past couple of years than I had in my entire life! They are better friends now... then I can ever remember them being & I know that God can take the worst parts of life & bless those who love Him.

Okay so here's the details ladies...

The Album Class is made up with the K and Co. Brenda Walton's Peppermint Twist paper line & embellishments. I am attaching a picture of the first page of the album and some of the product that we will be using. The RETAIL price for the product is approximately $40.00.

This is all approximate because I am still working on the album yet. So bear with me. :)

15 pieces of Pattern Paper
28 pieces of Cardstock
5 yards of various ribbon, rick rack & fibers
1 Mat Pad
1 Glitter Alphabets
1 Rub On Magic Rubons

We will be completing a whole album 18 to 20 pages. I am so excited about this... this is my first 12 x 12 album that I will have done for just CHRISTMAS. There will be some paper piecing (not a lot & not complicated) but there will also be some quick & easy pages also. The goal of this class is to be a FUN, LOW STRESS, ENJOYABLE & FULL OF BLESSINGS. I hope that you all will come & join in!

PLEASE NOTE: I am asking that a deposit be paid because I am "financing" this myself & because I don't have a full time job. :) The "deposit" will be $25.00 per kit and an extra $10 for each album that you would like. IF you plan on geting this as a "KIT ONLY" I am going to raise the price to $75.00 per kit due to color copies & direction sheets. :( Sorry. CKC - Kansas City

I came in town for CKC. It was so fun seeing some old friends & getting familiar with all the new stuff once again. (Remember I live almost TWO HOURS from the nearest Hobby Lobby.... THREE HOURS to the nearest LSS)
I love the header.... there's that "Star Layout" with Jill's little girl on it! :)
The booth was constantly packed... I hurried and took a couple of pictures when some people had just left.... I was AMAZED
My sweet nephew Stephen... I love that picture of him. :)

I just loved the way things were all set up and the cute displays... I'm still lovin' the ribbon on spoon idea! Its all about cute packaging isn't it? :)
One of the owners "sisters" from the scrapbook store in Kansas called 2 Scrappy Sisters & then there is Susanne & Ali (I use to teach at the same stores that they did when I lived in KC)
This picture was a little dark, my friend Ali took it of my very talented friend Kara Ward teaching a K&Co class at CKC. I was just hanging out with them... they are wonderful girls to know & I feel blessed to call them friends.

Halloween Treats

This makes a great little gift for a "secret" friend, co worker or just a family member. They are fun to make and doesn't cost much to fill!!

Explosion Box with endless places to put all those Halloween pictures. Perfect as a gift! Tie a pretty bow on top & it is great for anyone!

We will make the "card/photo book" and then add the extra page to make it a complete 2 page layout for a scrapbook.

Baby Shower.... its came & went :)

Kimberlee & Joseph opening up their presents!

Oh my... this was my HEADACHE... I couldn't get it to hang like I had envisioned so this is how it ended up!

These little birdies were made to hang on the tree and people could write notes for Kimberlee, Joseph or Baby Isabelle.These were our "bird nests" they were just cute sitting out on the 3 tier dessert plate.

These were the favors that we gave as our guest left.

Baby showers... love them but they are alot of work! We had a great time at the shower, lots of friends and it was fun to see everyone and just visit. Kimberlee & Joseph were so suprised to see what all they got and couldn't believe that everyone was so giving. They got most of everything they will need for the "New Isabelle Grace". I hope that they will continued to be greatful & blessed!

This is my cousin, Joseph & his wife, my cousin, friend, walking buddy... Kimberlee. Joseph graduated from Basic Training in New Jersey for the Coast Guard. Kimberlee & Joseph are going to have their first baby in October, its a girl & her name is Isabelle Grace. We are hosting their baby shower on Friday night, then they start packing to move on Saturday and heading for North Carolina. I'm going to miss Kimberlee so much... she's been a great friend to have here in Oklahoma. So I've been & will still be busy working on/ planning this shower... its a little "Shabby Chic". I'll take pictures and show them to you when we get it all set up.

I have a lot to be grateful for such as:

*a loving family (including my EXCELLENT extended family)

*a store & a job

*a roof over my head

*a beautiful little dog that likes to see me when I get home,

*CREATIVE friends that encourage me

*unconditional friends who accept me even when I'm moody

*a nice little Escape that runs awesome now... :)

*enough $$ (most days)

*a country that allows me to make choices & gives me a safe & free place to live

*and last but definantly not least a God that I know has never given up on me & has a wonderful plan. He created me to have gifts I know, and I'm thankful and continue to ask him to show me what all I'm suppose to do with them.

I'm reading another book, my wonderful & thoughtful cousin Sarah bought it for me. She knew that I have wanted this book for awhile now, Calm My Anxious Heart By: Linda Dillow So I'm trying to remember to not worry & be content with my life. We may not always get EXACTLY what we think we want but through it all, I have a lot!

Well I have a couple of layouts that I am working on for my mom's blogsite. But I haven't gotten them done yet.... of course! They are laying on my floor as we speak & they have been there for almost a week. I guess I'm just hoping that I'll walk in and the scrapbook fairy will have completed them while I was out. mmmm.... I shouldn't hold my breath. Well I hope that you will take a look at what Mom has been up too. She did have the cutest little dog to scrapbook! :)

Well I haven't been blogging lately because I've been kinda busy. I did a couple of things for K&Co but I didn't take a picture of them with my digital camera so I can't show you them. I also taught my class for the ladies from Texas earlier this week & so I was regrouping from that. They were so AWESOME what sweet sweet ladies they are. Then my uncle's dad passed away, so I went to that funeral. I've been sick--food poisoning-- yuck! Last but not least I accomplished one of my New Year's Resolution-- I read a BOOK! I haven't read in forever and I really hated the fact that I didn't ever take time to read-- but I fixed that problem & now I'm about to start another book. Hope your summer is going well for you & hope that I will get to see you soon!

I have to go package with mom and she's going to help me package my class for my Texas gals here in a couple of weeks. I used some of the new K&Co Happy Trails paper. I have (2) more layouts that I finished last night that I'm hoping will get scanned & packaged soon. Well gotta run & get some layouts for the Scrappy Gourmet done. Rain, Rain Go Away....

Oh its rainy & dreary today. I have jeans & a sweatshirt on ... but flip flops too! hahaha I can't figure out what season it is, my toes are freezing though! I think sitting on my porch, drinking coffee and surfing the internet might have to turn into an "inside" activity here pretty soon.

I can't believe that its almost June did you know that I have been here for HALF of a year!!! Crazy. It feels just like yesterday that I was visiting with all my friends, running around from job to job, moving into my apartment, where did the time go? I still miss everyone and still feel in limbo. Will it Oklahoma ever feel like home? I believe more and more the phrase "Home is where your heart is", I still feel like my heart is in Kansas City and I'm just a visitor here in Oklahoma. I am grateful for the opportunities in my life, I believe that God does have a plan for all of this. I just ask for patience and some understanding each day. I love it don't get me wrong... but like I said it feels like I'm just visiting.

Well Mom came down & we scrapbooked... or should I say I scrapbooked and she encouraged me. She helped cut & package the pages I was working on. I just think... we're a good team. I try to get her to do something of her own but she doesn't- I think she just knows that I need help! Hahaha But its funny because when she leaves I'm still very motivated to scrapbook & create, so she just needs to come visit every couple of weeks!

Well I thought it was funny that Mom is on the ball already.... planning a "semi-birthday" party/crop for my birthday. Okay, by the way my birthday isn't until September 11th! Last year I turned 30 and I wanted a birthday party so bad, I had to practically plan my own party because Mom just didn't have time. Luckily, I have some GREAT friends (I am blessed) that decided to help out and I had the BEST birthday ever! Thanks Vicki!!

Well, we were trying to plan a weekend here in Hochatown & there wasn't the cabin we wanted until September! So she said oh Jess, we can have a birthday crop for Nora & you. How perfect! But I had to laugh because she was NOT this pumped up or excited for my 30th.... hmmm But its good to have a mom that knew that what I needed and wanted for my birthday would be ... simply.... my friends and family! I miss you girls so much and hope that you can make it to Hochatown! We are going to have a great time!

September 13-16 Thurs-Sun morning

Cost: depends on how many people (avg. cost I think will be about $25-30 per night)

We can have approx. 20-24 croppers (but if you don't want to crop you can still come)

Well just to let you all know that I haven't entered a new post because I've been in Kansas City & I'm busy "makin' the rounds"! Yesterday was devoted just to my family.... went to church & got to praise and worship with my favorite boy in the world & then I also got to listen to a sermon about "worrying"! God knew I needed to hear that. Gracia Burnham the hostage from 2001 who survived but her husband Martin was killed during the rescue mission, she was the one that spoke. It was great hearing what she had to overcome. My "issues" should be a walk in the park. But anyways, then we went to Trezo Mare' for lunch (that's where my youngest brother Jeremiah works) and afterwards spent time with my brothers & helped clean. Fun Fun! Well Sasha & I are heading back to Oklahoma in the morning so back to "Life". Hope you all had a great Mother's Day.

Well today is my sister-in-laws birthday! I made her this little accordian Life's Journey book with pictures of Stephen in it. On the page that says "Thankful" I actually added the Bible Verse that says: "Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. "

She's a great sister-in-law, wife & mother but also a friend. Some of you may not know that actually Carrie was a co-worker of mine... then a friend... then a sister-in-law. I introduced her to my brother and I am glad I did. She has a been a true blessing to my brother as well as my family!

Gifts...Gifts & More Gifts!

I made Three of these for Sarah's friends that are graduating from High School. Sarah looked up some Bible verses that were very inspiring or applicable to life & then I embellished up a couple of pages inside. I thought that the Black & Hot Pink would be great for those girls & I had to add a few "bling" to the inside pages too!

This is for her friend that is graduating from college... she wanted a little something unique to give her. I used some MM metal mesh & attached the photo mat on top of it... I love pink & orange too so the Basic Grey paper was a sure fit. Sarah is going to be a FIRST TIME Aunt this fall.... Twice! Her sister-in-laws Rachel & Kimberlee are both expecting a month apart from each other and so she wanted to send them a "Mom-To-Be" Mother's Day card. So I made these simple cards using Wild Asparagus paper... I love that line!

Well I've been kinda busy working on some stuff, for my cousin. She had a lot of gifts to purchase this month. Well you would have to know that there is NO WHERE to really shop except for walmart around here and so she's bought several gift from The Chocolate Moose since Christmas. However, now she was running out of things to get and so I started making personalized items for her. She loves them & I appreciate her support! Sarah is such an encourager when it comes to scrapbooking... she doesn't want to do it but she can appreciate the hobby. She's really my only friend down here.... hahaha... so its a good thing she is just what I needed this week! Guess what.... only 3 days until I'm in Kansas City!!! I'm excited can you tell?

Jeremiah... took regular food coloring & manipulated it in photoshop and came up with this design! It was on display at Oak Park High School, so one day after school we took Stephen up there and Jeremiah showed us all his designs on display. Even Stephen thought that his "Uncle J" was pretty good!

This is my nephew Stephen & my youngest brother Jeremiah "B" ("B" was shortened from Miah B or for Baby Jeremiah) and I love these two boys! Jeremiah was my little buddy when he was Stephen's age... we ran around together. I loved to take him to the mall shopping or to hang out with my friends. He would be the center of attention wherever he went with us! I guess that's where he gets it... the running around & never letting moss grow under his feet. I sometimes get sad or upset that he never has time to be around us & he is always on the go with his friends, but I shouldn't be because that's how I was at 18. Well I'm proud of him (most of the time) but he was gifted with hospitality, compassion & creativity. I know that God has a plan for Mr. Jeremiah Matthew... I just wish that he would slow down enough to listen to what it is. But here I am at 30 just starting to slow down and listen... so I guess I took a long time too! :) Anyway.... I love him and am proud of what he has done with his "Gift".

My Little Store...

I know a couple of people have asked about my store... well here are some pictures of it. This is where I spend MOST of my time these days. These picutres were taken last fall. I need to take some new pictures but oh well I haven't yet. But these are my FAVORITE candles, lotion & muffin mix! Also you'll see a picutre of where I sit and drink coffee in the morning out on my porch (I think I mention that all the time) It is kinda slow right now but I'm told that when summer hits, I'll be wishing for a "slow day". We'll see! :) Also the weather has been very wet & dreary down here and that just puts me in a "blah mood". But its pretty nice today... so far... NO rain! hahaha Well I'm going to go and have a latte out on my porch & watch the traffic! :) Well hope that you all are having a great weekend wish I were somewhere SCRAPBOOKING today!

Just me & Sasha once again...

Wow... how time has flown with Sasha Owv! She was just a little ol puppy just a few weeks ago & now she is almost to big for my lap. Last night we watched a movie and she fell asleep in my lap. I don't have children but I guess she's as much of a child to me as a "real" baby. I enjoy watching her "POUNCE" on sticks and leaves that are blowing in the wind. How fun it is to see her grow but I miss her being "small" and I know that in another month she will be TOO BIG for my lap, but I'm enjoying it now. She is so good and I am grateful because I know that she is just what I needed! She's becoming my "buddy" I'm trying to teach her good social skills, so she won't be a "CRAZY BIG Dog". She doesn't like scrapbooking to much... but we're working on that! Have a great weekend girls!

This is the cover of the book that I made for my "Texas Ladies" for June. Its just a little preview. Hope you all like it! This is using the new "Classic K" Bailey Line of paper from K&Co. I really like the colors of the new line! This is the 5x7 flipbook titled "{Gracious Me}" It has tags & things inside. We will be doing 7-10 simple pages that you can add your own "flair" to later OR you can take photos of my "Embellished Pages" and scraplift them for your own album. Also, for an additional price you can make a frame which I will try to post here soon. Thanks for looking. Kits will be available. I enjoyed my mom coming down to scrapbook and visit this week. She left this morning and I was so sad to see her go. I just wish I could have my cake and eat it too... you know. I love Oklahoma & its been a hard move but I have been blessed too! I would like for ALL my brothers & family to move down and then they could enjoy God's beauty and blessings with me & Sasha.

I got THREE 2 page layouts done for my Mom's website, so as soon as I get the pictures I will get them on here so you can check them out. I just wish that I could have gotten more done but I didn't. Oh well...

My mom, dad & I went to dinner at the Restaurant on the river here in Beavers Bend State Park & it was so nice sitting with them and talking. However, there was a HUGE thunderstorm and I forgot that I had left my windows open in my Living Room and I had left a basket of scrapbooking things on my carport. However, we RUSHED home and got there to find that everything was safe and DRY! Another blessing!

I'm so excited for this weekend. My mom should be here sometime tomorrow afternoon... driving in from Kansas City. Then we plan on scrappin' all weekend. "I'M SO EXCITED!!!" You girls just don't know what its like to not have anyone to scrap and create with. :) Always be grateful for those ladies that stay up hours with you scrapbooking and not only do they keep you company but they keep you motivated! I love having people around me when I scrapbook. However, I'm not very productive I like to talk to much! :)

Today I thought I would try to start a blogspot. I'm terrible at spelling and writing but I like to read what all is going on. I would love to call everyone and see what they have been doing but it just doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day for me to do that. So we will try this out.
